First-Time Ever Prospect for Young
Wrestlers and Their Families
[Westerville, Ohio]---Grappling Tours is
making news in the world of competitive wrestling by hosting an exhilarating,
original experience for young wrestlers and their families alike. The 1st annual “War on the Waves” is set to sail August 9-16, 2014 and will deliver a
first-time-ever experience for wrestlers entering 5th-8th
grades to compete on a cruise ship. But this exotic get-away isn’t just for the
wrestlers! The entire family will be provided exciting, unique adventures on
this 7-night Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Oasis of the Sea from Royal
Caribbean International Cruiseline.
Departing
from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and traveling to ports in the Bahamas, St. Thomas
and St. Maarten, “War on the Waves” offers young wrestlers the amazing chance
to compete on a national scale in various weight classes. Weight classes
include:
85lbs-94lbs, 95lbs-104lbs, 105lbs-114lbs, 115lbs-124lbs, 125lbs-134lbs,
135lbs-144lbs, 145lbs-154lbs, 155lbs-167lbs, 168lbs-184lbs and 185lbs
plus. There are a limited number of available
spots in each class, with a total limit of 100 participants. The War begins on
Aug. 12th and continues on the 14th, finalizing on the 15th
with an award’s ceremony. The additional days allow for practice in the
wrestling practice facility on-ship and for family time playing on the beaches,
shopping in the ports, surfing on the Flow Rider and relaxing together on a
sundeck. A parent or guardian must accompany children on this world-class
cruise.
Richard Foston, Founder
& CEO of Grappling Tours states, “We came up with this idea as a way to
combine the thrill of competitive wrestling in a family-friendly atmosphere
that allows the whole family to learn and relax together. ”Foston, a 4-time All-American
in three different divisions, and current wrestling coach, understands that
families don’t often have the chance to spend leisure time together. “Our goal
for ‘War on the Waves’ is to provide a venue for children and young adults to
learn the skills necessary to successfully compete while demonstrating positive
moral values. ‘War on the Waves’ is a one-of-a-kind opportunity that can’t be
passed up!”
“War on the Waves”
wrestling tournament cruise will be an annual event that offers only 100 young
wrestlers the chance to be one of the first to do
battle on the mat while on the open sea. Registration is limited and
ends April 4th, 2014, so immediate registration for your wrestling
club, team or family is recommended.
